Benchmark Assessments
Benchmark assessments are important in order for educators to have a knowledge
of where their students are in terms of total mastery throughout the school
year. Typically a pre-assessment is given at the beginning of the year, and a
post-assessment is given a few weeks before the high-stakes assessment.
STI’s Benchmark Assessments are:
- Designed to correlate with standards for graduation exams, end-of-course exams, or standardized assessments
- Parallel to each other and indicative of the types of questions found on high-stakes assessments
