POS Lunchroom Management

The Lunch Minder program gives your school the ability to automate your entire lunch program. This truly user-friendly program may be completely customized to accomodate the various pricing plans offered at your school.

Statements/Reports

The LunchMinder Statement form easily interfaces with School Minder Billing using a simple button-click export. Purchase amounts and account balances can be easily viewed for a specific student as well as any specific order entry. Statements can be printed for individual students or all students organized by teacher.

Student Entry

You can import students from School Minder into Lunch Minder, then set-up “accounts” for each student where a charge limit may be established and payments may be recorded.

A la carte Items

Lunch Minder allows you to build complete menus, consisting of full meals and a la carte items.

Importing from School Minder or InformationNOW

Lunch Minder flawlessly integrates with School Minder or InformationNOW so that students and faculty rosters are automatically loaded. Additionally, lunch account balances can be imported back into School Minder or InformationNOW so that students are billed the appropriate lunch charges.

Robust / Flexible Menu Setup

Lunch Minder provides a very flexible and comprehensive menu setup. Items can be scheduled to be available everyday, on a certain day of the week (e.g. every Tuesday), or on a particular calendar date (e.g. “Thanksgiving Dinnner” Wednesday, November 26th).

Two Systems in One

Lunch Minder includes two different item databases for maximum flexibility. This allows the system to be configured as “Two in One” Point of Sale (POS) system. This is beneficial when using Lunch Minder for Breakfast as well as for Lunch. The Breakfast menu can be accessed from a single button, allowing maximum screen space on the lunch menu. This feature is also very useful for concession sales at sporting events. The concession items can be priced differently from lunch items and accessed from a button then selected from a list. Lunch Minder can be dually used for both purposes without any configuration headaches.

Customizable Operator Interface

The buttons on the Order Entry Screen can be customized to the user’s needs. The item names are automatically changed according to the system setup and each button can have a unique color scheme. This allows the user to effectively “group” similar items, not just by proximity, but also by appearance (i.e. drinks have purple buttons with white text, and desserts have yellow buttons with black text, etc.). This speeds up learning the screen and reduces operator error.
