Each quarter STI participates in a local community project to benefit a local charity or community organization. The employees of STI want to give back to the community by volunteering and giving donations to a worthy cause. The project for this quarter is:
Go Run - 3rd Quarter 2009
STI has made a contribution to the University of South Alabama Cancer Institute to be a Silver Sponsor for the Second Annual 5K “GO” Run and Fun Run. The run was held Saturday, September 19th, 2009 at 8:00am on the USA Campus at the Intramural Field Pavilion. All proceeds from the “GO” Run will be directed to the Gynecologic Cancer Research Endowment Fund at the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute.
In addition to the sponsorship STI had many staff members participate in the run. By competing in the run, volunteering and donating to this very worthy cause, STI has tried to make a difference in the community.
Beth, Al, Karen, Drew, Chris and Matt all ran for this great cause.
Lee, Lil Copeland, Ruby and Jenna came out for a beautiful day and to help researching a cure.
